Ms. Stephanie Shiers

HS Social Studies Teacher


Stephanie is excited to join the St. Paul community this year. Born in the United States, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology and Art History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln before pursuing a career in education. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, as well as a Master of Science in Education, from Wayne State College. Stephanie holds teaching content area endorsements in K-12 English as a Second Language and 7-12 Social Sciences and is a certified K-12 Reading Specialist. Previously, she taught students learning the English language in American public schools in Nebraska for five years. She also has prior experience teaching English to adults. Most recently, for the past four years Stephanie taught English as an Additional Language at an American international school in Casablanca, Morocco.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, reading, traveling, exploring her new home city of Hanoi, and learning about the culture, food, and history of Vietnam.
