Biography

Mr. John Woodward is a high school SPELL teacher for St. Paul American School Hanoi. He is from Orlando, Florida in the United States. Mr. John studied journalism and communications at the University of North Florida, earning a bachelor of science degree. He worked as a newspaper reporter for several newspapers before discovering his passion for education.

He began his career as an educator in Thailand. Then he went on to earn a master’s degree in education from the University of Florida, focusing on curriculum and instruction with a specialty in ESOL and bilingual education. Mr. John continued teaching in Thailand both as an ESL teacher and as an English language arts teacher. He moved back to America to continue his career as an educator where he taught with the Orange County School Board. After four years he decided to resume his teaching career internationally.

Mr. John loves traveling with his wife Paeng. They love the adventures of travel and all the new things they learn and experience, especially the food people enjoy in each place they visit. They like to learn how to cook something new from each place they visit. In his free time, Mr. John likes to travel, read, play computer games, and work on art projects.
