Ms. Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Alabama and a Master of Arts in Education Leadership and Management. She has taught elementary in the country of Georgia, China, and Vietnam.

She is an advocate for responsive schooling. Responsive schools, in her view, should be designed to be adaptive and flexible, utilizing data and assessments to inform instruction and drive student success. By doing so, educators can tailor their teaching practices to meet the unique needs and abilities of each student, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
