Ms. Lindsay Vaughan grew up in Wisconsin, attended college at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science, and then attended Boston University earning a Master’s of Arts in Teaching in Science Education. After several years teaching high school science in the Boston area, Ms. Lindsay switched careers and worked in the IT industry as an Inside Sales Representative and Customer Success Manager. However, she caught the travel bug which took her to countries throughout Asia and it was then she decided to “re-enter” teaching. In 2016, Ms. Lindsay moved to China where she taught ESL to college students in Nanjing and then Shanghai, where she taught British Literature and US History, and served as a College Counselor at a bilingual high school. After five years in China, she is excited to be joining the SPASH community in Vietnam, a country she first visited in 2014. When Ms. Lindsay isn’t teaching, she enjoys traveling, reading, photography, and trying restaurants around the city. She has now travelled to over 37 countries and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon!
