I am a professional IT Director with a passion for education and technology, bringing over 28 years of teaching experience in public schools in Texas. Originally from Kilgore, Texas, I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. Throughout my teaching career I have continually worked to build a strong foundation in computer science, networking, cyber security, digital graphics, web design, computer maintenance and more.
Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to teaching technology courses and empowering students to excel in the digital age. As part of my commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment, I established and managed a student-led IT campus support team. This team played a vital role in providing technical assistance to approximately 2000 students and 220 staff members.
Beyond my role as an educator, I have also served as a Varsity Boys Basketball and Varsity Boys and Girls Golf Coach, allowing me to foster teamwork, leadership, and discipline among students both inside and outside the classroom.
Outside of work, I am a proud father of four and happily married to my wife, who is an administrator at the Dewey School in Hanoi. We recently welcomed a precious grandchild into our family, bringing us great joy and excitement.
My wife and I have always embraced a spirit of adventure and exploration, and now that our children have grown, we saw an excellent opportunity to live abroad. With a sense of adventure in our hearts, we sold the majority of our possessions and embarked on this incredible journey. Our first stop was Casablanca, Morocco, where we resided near the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Now, we are thrilled to be in Vietnam, immersing ourselves in the rich culture and vibrant atmosphere of this incredible country.
As the Director of IT at St. Paul American School, I am excited to utilize my extensive experience and expertise to provide innovative solutions, enhance the learning environment, and empower students and staff with the necessary technological tools for success in a globalized world. It is a privilege to be part of this dynamic educational community and contribute to its ongoing growth and development.
