I am an English Language Learning (ELL) professional who has worked internationally for 10+ years with non-native, mixed-ability English speakers in an effective, collaborative, and nurturing way. My concentration has been at the elementary level but I have also successfully taught middle and high school grades as well. I have experience teaching American Common Core standards and curricula as well as British English standards and curricula (Cambridge English, CEFR). My role as an educator goes far beyond just language acquisition and knowledge dissemination. It encompasses the entire child; their physical and emotional health, cultural and self identity,and social and emotional well being.

I am originally from Southern California where I grew up and have also spent time living in South Florida before moving to Vietnam in 2013. I am married to my lovely wife, Ngoc and have an eight year old son, Alain, who is attending second grade at St. Paul.
