Mr. Jaebang Kim is from Seoul, Korea, and studied electrical engineering at Yonsei University. After he finished his military service in the Korea Air Force, he went to Purdue University to further his studies in electrical and computer engineering in the graduate programs. There, he had the opportunity to begin his teaching career as a graduate teaching assistant. Upon returning to Korea, he started teaching as a secondary teacher at Busan Foreign School.

In his free time, he runs, rides a bicycle, plays table tennis, and goes bowling.
