Julie Lee accepted into summer program at UPenn

At St. Paul, students always thrive and strive to achieve great things. Under the guidance of our experienced faculty members and with the top-quality educational preparation we provide, students can reach a level of success that they’ve often dreamt of and beyond…

Julie Lee, a junior(Class of 2024), will be enrolled in an excellent college preparatory program at the University of Pennsylvania this summer. The Engineering Summer Academy at Penn (ESAP) is designed to offer the most motivated and talented students around the world an opportunity to explore engineering at a college level while still in high school. During the 3-week program, students will study with leading faculty, get to experience cutting-edge technologies, live on the University of Pennsylvania’s historic campus, and connect with many other young professionals.

Julie will attend courses focusing on biotechnology. Her initial interest in this course was sparked by the AP Biology classes she took right here at St. Paul! She can’t wait to explore this field further and experience classes in a higher-learning environment.

Besides being very excited about meeting new friends, Julie said the most attractive aspect of this program is that it will give her a chance to do lab research on an Ivy League campus.

Julie’s number one tip for scoring a great summer program is to make your personal statement essay stand out! With the careful guidance of Mr. Marantos, Julie was able to write an essay that greatly impressed the ESAP board members. He also helped Julie to make sure the application process went smoothly. Thanks Mr. Marantos for supporting our students and good luck with your program Julie!
